Organic Skin Care Products: Which To Use?

If you eat organic food and sleep on organic sheets, it makes sense that you might also add organic skin care products to the mix.

To some, this is news. The idea that you can put organic skin care products on your face might be a very new idea, but those involved with beauty products know what others are just finding out – organic skin care products can give your skin a level of care that traditional products can’t.

What makes a product organic?

As with any food product you might buy that’s labeled organic, any skin care product that is called organic must meet certain standards. Specifically, every ingredient in the product must be produced organically. Because some factory-made ingredients are far from organic, this also means that organic products are usually more natural and healthy for the skin than non-organic products.

Organic beauty products are ideal for sensitive skin and those with skin allergies. Sometimes they are much more effective than traditional products as well.

What products can be found in organic forms?

There are many products on the market today that are organic. They might not be as easy to find as non-organic products, but as more and more people seek out organics for food and other things, they will also begin to seek out more organic skin care and beauty products and that will make them easier to find over time.

Some of the best selling organic skin care products available today are Athena products.

The Athena 7 Minute Lift is a high quality product that has gotten rave reviews in recent months for its ability to provide visible benefit to the skin within 7 minutes. Those who use the product say that within those 7 minutes they notice that their skin is more lifted, firmer and looks suppler.

But the benefits go beyond the 7 minutes. Due to a unique and proprietary blend of organic ingredients, the cream can also help your skin age better over the long term, which gives you a one-two punch of immediate and future benefit.

Other Athena skin care products are getting attention these days, such as their stem cell serums thanks to the success of the 7 Minute Lift. Many of these products are also organic and provide benefit to the skin through the use of quality ingredients that are also completely naturally produced.

Other brands of organic skin care include Miessence which are not known for instant lift or anti wrinkle creams, but more for their organic cleansers which can accompany the use of a good organic wrinkle cream.

How can you find organic products?

In the past, you had to order from a specialty catalog in order to get organic skin care products, but these days the process is much simpler. You can order online (even sometimes including a sample you can try before you buy the entire jar or bottle of something) and you can find some of the products in health food stores.

Your best bet is to find an online store that sells these products. Order the sample and try the product out. If it works, you can then order the entire product. This will save you the investment if the product isn’t going to work.

Organic products are new and popular in skin care these days. Seek out some of these products and see what they can do for your skin.

When you Negotiate, Check Emotions (Automomy)

When people negotiate, they want to experience autonomy. In essence, they want to feel like they’re in control throughout the negotiation. As such, they don’t want to be brow beaten or set upon, when they offer suggestions and potential solutions during the negotiation process.

You can allow your negotiation partner to experience autonomy by acquiescing to her demands, agreeing to the direction in which she moves the negotiation and by giving her the level of control she seeks throughout the negotiation. The question you’re probably asking yourself is, if I allow my negotiation partner to experience control to that degree, why should I bother to negotiate? Won’t I put myself at a great disadvantage by doing so? To which I reply yes and no.

Yes, you may give the appearance of being a weak negotiator and depending upon the person you’re negotiating with, he or she may try to exploit their perceived advantage. If that occurs, you will gain additional insight into the mental makeup of the person and what they might do if you give them too much control. In essence, its a balancing act. The thought that comes to mind is, you can give them enough rope to hang themselves, but not so much that they hang you.

While putting yourself at a perceived disadvantage you do so for the time it takes to make the person you’re negotiating with feel comfortable, or guilty enough to give back to you that which you seek from the negotiation. You accomplish your goals by making those goals your partners goals.

You allow your negotiation partner to experience autonomy and still reach your goals by planning the direction you’d like the negotiation to go in during your planning stage. In the planning stage, you need to assess where there might be overlay between the goals you share with your negotiation partner and create a path that the negotiations can travel to take advantage of that overlay.

Remember, control is perceptional. To the degree that someone feels they are in control, in any situation, in their mind, they are in control. Thus, it behooves you to convey the submissiveness they seek from you in order to project the feeling they need to experience in order to feel empowered. If they feel empowered to set the pace of the negotiation and thus set the negotiations direction, they will also have the degree of control they need to help you reach the goal of the negotiation.

You may have to walk a fine line when allowing your negotiation partner to think he’s in control of the negotiation. As long as that person stays on the path that you set, you will be okay and everything will be right with the world.

The negotiation lessons are…

  • Always understand and apply the importance of autonomy during a negotiation. To the degree that you can allow your negotiation partner to experience autonomy, she’s more apt to stay engaged throughout the negotiation.
  • During the negotiation, seek opportunities to bond or break the bonding process based on the degree of autonomy you allow someone to perceive they have. In this way, you can use the experience of autonomy as a tactic or strategy.
  • Remember that control and thus autonomy is a matter of perception. To the degree that you allow others to experience autonomy, they will be more likely to grant you what you desire.

Record Presentations From Macintosh or Linux Machines

The Institute for Software Research (ISR) in the Carnegie Mellon School of Computer Science (SCS) is a center for education and research in software engineering and computation. The Insititute’s research areas in software engineering include software analysis, software architecture specification, and aspects of cybersecurity.

The team responsible for videography at the Institute for Software Research in Carnegie Mellon School of Computer Science usually records presentations, small meetings, and lectures with the help of Panopto CourseCast. This software is broadly used for capturing multiple video data and its automatical streaming over the web. The remote audience can access the content as it becomes available in popular and easy-to-consume formats. CourseCast recorder installed on PC saves the lectures and other materials uploading them on the website. The target audience can watch the previously recorded content using NetID and password.

The Institute’s team that used this software to capture video stream from PC suddenly came across the following issue. Thomas Pope of the institute says, “Most of the time we were able to use the recorder itself on a presenter’s computer, on conditions that it was a Windows machine. However we deal with different tasks. Sometimes the educational content that is created must include some videos and images from computers running under Linux or Mac. That is why we were looking for a way to capture screens from these machines just like from a PC.”

The Panopto experts helped Pope to solve this problem. The Institute team was recommended to use the VGA2USB LR frame grabber. “Frame grabber has been used successfully with Panopto software.” Pope recalls. “We decided to take advantage of this product since Panopto software was compatible with frame grabbers. Now we are able to capture and broadcast lectures, presentations, and other instructional content using video streams either from PC, Mac or Linux machines. VGA2USB LR’s capability to be incorporated into the existing environment empowers us to capture data from multiple video sources while preparing diverse education materials”.

VGA to USB is an external video capture device allowing a user to capture video with resolution up to 1280×1024. Since it transfers video in original quality with high resolution from any equipment with VGA connectors, educational centers and other organizations can use it for capturing data. Recording meetings and other events, delivering presentations over the web, creating online educational programs – you can benefit from a high-performance frame-grabber in multiple ways.
